Tafaria is located 143 miles north of Nairobi. It is 40 Miles from Nyeri traveling westwards towards Nyahururu, or 24 Miles from Nyahururu traveling eastwards towards Nyeri.

The Castle, within which you find the Lords Room overlooks the castles four quarters: You can either stay in the Damsels Quarters which are optimally sized, the Knights Quarters if you would like that extra space or the Vikings Quarters if you fancy being tented. If you have a family or you prefer even more space, the Lost Knights Quarters will provide you with that roomy accommodation.

Tafaria Castle is a 25 room lodge built on a hill overlooking the Aberdare Range, Laikipia Plains and Mount Kenya.
Completed in 2012 AD, Tafaria has been conceived to engender two states of mind – that of adventure stimulated by the remote location and medieval architectural style that runs from the castle to the similarly themed cottages, and relaxation facilitated by the high altitude, secluded spot and gentle, manicured grounds.
As you reside in one of the Castle’s Quarters, horse ride, bird watch, take nature walks, go for game drives, swim, fish, or simply conduct business leisurely.
