Swahili Beach Resort ,an innovative five star resort development, is centrally located on the famous Diani Beach of Kenya’s south coast.

ACCOMMODATION

STANDARD ROOMS
Standard rooms have picturesque views across the gardens or cascading pools and are situated in the main building. The rooms admit plenty of light and open onto wide verandahs. The rooms feature extensively carved niches and are exquisitely furnished with Swahili furniture and decor. Latest hospitality amenities including flat screen TVs, mini bars, electronic safes, wireless internet, coffee/tea-making stations and air conditioning. The en-suite bathrooms have rain showers, bidets and double basins.

SUPERIOR ROOMS

The Superior roomsare situated on the upper floors and open fabulous views of the ocean. In addition to the Swahilidécor and spacious verandas, all Superiors have an extended sitting room area and larger closet space. They feature the latest hospitality amenities and spacious bathrooms with bath tubs, rain shows,bidet and double basins.

EXECUTIVE SUITES

Positioned on the second floor, the expansive Executive Suites have sweeping vistas across the Indian Ocean and gardens below. All suites have a connected lounge, dining veranda and private kitchen. Several suites have shared access to a rooftop sun terrace and open-air lounge.

Facilities

Spa
The Spa and Fitness Centre sits by the ocean front with its own cove and pool. Guests will be pampered in six luxurious treatment rooms each with individual showers. The two double Deluxe treatment rooms each boast a hydrobath/Jacuzzi tub. Additionally one can relax or splash in the pool of the private cove area. The spa has awide array of treatments using a renowned product line and administered hands of skilled therapists who are professionally trained and certified.

Gym
The gymnasium is equipped with cardiovascular machines, isotonic equipment and free weights.

Hair and beauty salon
Swahili Beach guests can still enjoy their routine beauty care whilst on holiday. The salon offers hair, facial, manicure and pedicure services for both ladies and men.

Swahili Beach offers a gourmet selection of smart and casual dining:

Majilis
Meaning ‘meeting or gathering’ hotels and this is the main buffet restaurant. The décor features with limited edition black and white photographs Swahili people & architecture perfectly enhances the cultural ambience of the restaurant.

East
A fusion of Indian/Swahili Fusion this cuisine unmatched anywhere else in Kenya The restaurant features a shisha bar area and low baquette seating, and is themed with a very modern take on “Indian” style. Artworks are abstract. Furniture is minimalist but upholstered in rich leathers and velvets which give nod to both Indian and Swahili cultures.

The Champagne & Oyster Bar
An alà carte seafood restaurant raised 40 ft above the beach, it’s the first of its kind in Kenya. Seated along thehuge dark-wood long bar one can enjoy a range of champagnes and fresh local oysters. The rest of the restaurant comprisesa classic seating arrangement in plantation/colonial style, with dark-wood floors, louvered shutters and woven rattan seats. Guests can enjoy daily ‘catch-of-the-day’ while enjoy amazing sea views and a constant, cool onshore breeze.

Baharini
Meaning ‘ocean’, Baharini is situated right on the beach overlooking the Indian Ocean. Ostensibly a beach bar & Italian restaurant, it has been fitted out entirely in reclaimed dhow wood furniture. Palm fibre lamps and local carvings add highly decorative detailing to the decor. Guest can relax in low sofas converted from local canoes and filled with fluffy, white cushions. It will be the top sundowner spot on Diani Beach.

Kahawa Cafe
An Arabian-style coffee shop serving aromatic coffees from around the world, light snacks and confectionery.
