You can simply unwind in the comfort of the resort or use it as your base as you head out on safari to explore Lake Nakuru, Lake Baringo and/or Lake Bogoria. The Resort is a short 2 ½ hour drive from Nairobi and an hour’s drive from Mount Kenya, off the popular Mount Kenya-Samburu safari circuit on the Nyeri-Nyahururu road.

THE COURTYARD ROOMS
Hosted in the main building are family rooms that are all interconnected, offering spacious accommodation in twin and double occupancies. The rooms look into the children’s playing area allowing for peace of mind as you sit on the balcony, taking in the sounds of the Thompson Falls.
Tastefully furnished with polished wood, these rooms are adorned with portraits of Joseph Thompson’s adventures and wildlife that once roamed free.
Room amenities include tea and coffee making facilities, safe deposit box, plasma screen, direct dial telephone, and free wi-fi.
The rooms are closely situated near the dining and bar area for your convenience.
Two rooms for the physically challenged are also situated in the main building.
COTTAGE ROOMS
With views over the Ewaso Nyiro river and further onto the Marmanet Forest, the cottage rooms are aptly named after indigenous trees of the Laikipia, and are set in a quiet and serene area away from the main building. Access to the cottage rooms is via smart golf carts.
Each spacious room has a stone fireplace to offer warmth on the typically cold evenings and balconies to take in the breath-taking views from the privacy of your room.
Accommodation is in both twin and doubles, sporting an open plan feature complete with an intimate sitting area.
The walk-in showers offer a welcome respite after a day spent in high altitude and the accompanying amenities compliment your experience.
